Order up with the Menu’s

Roaming the streets of Cincinnati we find some great entertainment on Fountain Square!

June 3rd, 1983 The Menus were born! The first gig was at Midnight Express in Western Hills. There have been many changes over the years including song selection, wardrobe changes, skateboarding, props, trapeze swinging and of course balloon kicking/popping. Name a song, costume or stunt and Tim has most likely done it!

Tim also has another band Curly and the Cueballs which formed in 2001 performing standards in the American songbook. In addition to Curly, Tim teaches preschool music and has a solo act The Goldie Show performing in small clubs and nursing homes.

2023 will mark 40 years in the music business with no signs of stopping. As long as people continue to show up at the shows, Tim will continue to keep the energy level high and make sure the people are happy and well entertained.

Gymkhana Time – a blast from the motor sport past!

Enjoy a view of Autocross History.

gymkhana, originally in 19th-century India and England, a display of athletics and equestrian events; in the 20th century, also a form of automobile sport in which a series of events is planned to test driving skill and demonstrate accurate car handling. Auto gymkhanas usually are held on parking lots on which a series of short but intricate courses are laid out. A typical event is a race over a tight, twisting course marked out by pylons or similar devices; competing drivers complete the course one at a time and are timed to 1/100 second and penalized for errors, such as brushing a pylon or going off course. Other events may include driving in reverse, 180° and 360° turns, parking tests, and braking tests.

LIVING BY THE SCOUT OATH AND LAW

Each spring, the Dan Beard Council, BSA celebrates the legacy of great civil rights leader Whitney M. Young, Jr. and the spirit of community engagement that he inspired by holding a special event named in his honor. Although that event has been moved to the fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting on Mr. Young’s life and the wisdom he shared with the Boy Scouts of America is timely.

Over the years, Whitney Young often engaged with the Boy Scouts of America.  Just before the publication of his second book “Beyond Racism,” he addressed the BSA national organization and it was around that same time that he invoked the BSA’s motto in a memorable quote: “I’d rather BE PREPARED for an opportunity that never comes, than have an opportunity come and I am not prepared.”

Given the challenges facing our world today, the words of the Scout Oath and Scout Law are a clear invitation – but, we are prepared! The calls for respect, courtesy, helpfulness, and bravery that are implicit in our Scout Oath and Scout Law guide us to always stand up to injustice, to thoughtfully listen to one another, to be committed to becoming the best versions of ourselves, and to lift up all of our communities. The Scout Oath and Scout Law have been our guiding principles since the BSA was founded in 1910. They have prepared generations of young people to work and serve in the world. And now, the opportunity is ours to be living examples of these ideals through our actions and words with all of those we encounter each and every day.

Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati

We love karting! Our vision is to provide a local establishment where members and their families can satisfy their “need for speed” or just relax in a comfortable motorsports atmosphere.     Modern day karts are nothing like the go-karts at your local amusement park. They have evolved into highly sophisticated race machines capable of performing like a Formula 1 or Indy car, only on a smaller scale. The sport of karting offers more performance than any other form of motorsports at a fraction of the cost. MCC provides a fun and exceptionally safe environment where you and your family can enjoy the thrill of high performance kart racing
